Pet Shop Boys, an English pop duet. It is formed in 1981 in London by Nile Tennantom and Chris Law.
Neil Francis Tennant; ( on July, 10th 1954), the historian on a speciality, worked as an associate editor in popular magazine Smash Hits, and Christopher Law (Christopher Sean Lowe; the river on October, 4th 1959), occurring of a musical family and learned to game on keyboard in group One Under The Eight, studied architecture at the Liverpool university when their ways by accident in 1981 were crossed in one of musical shops of London. This significant event also has served as a project starting point under name Pet Shop Boys. At first, while Chris finished the formation in Liverpool, musicians saw seldom -basically, on vacation, writing down the first demos-rollers. Coming on vacation to London, Chris stopped at the friends who contained pet-shop. Thanks to this circumstance the group also has received the name. To 1983 Nile has departed to New York to interview Sting for the magazine. It was favorable possibility to meet the known producer of a dance music of Bobbi of Orlando, participants of group dreamed of work with which. As a result Nile managed to convince Bobbi to produce the first records of a duet. So there was single West End Girls (1984) which by the end 1985 has deduced group on the first positions in the British and American charts. During the same period the duet writes down the second single - Opportunities (1985), appeared not less successful. The musicians inspired with success throw the former employment to concentrate on musical career.
