Slipknot — the American metal band from small town Des Moines, the State of Iowa, formed in 1995 though occurrence first signs are dated 1991 when the minimum structure of group was generated.


Their albums have received the status platinum, and songs from all of them albums have been nominated for "Grammy", in categories «the Best heavy threw-composition» and «the Best hard rock composition». In 2006 they have won "Grammy" in a nomination «the Best threw-execution» for a song «Before I Forget».

At present the group consists of 9 (8) persons #0 (Sid Wilson, DJ), #1 (Dzhoi Dzhordison, shock), #2 (the Floor Heat, the bass - has died on May, 24th 2010), #3 (Chris Fen, ïåðêóññèÿ), #4 (James Rut, a guitar), #5 (Krejg Johns, a sampler / keyboard), #6 (Sean Kregan, ïåðêóññèÿ), #7 (Mik Thompson, a guitar), #8 (Reproach Taylor, a vocal). Such structure of group was formed in 1998, before as a part of group there were various changes. SlipKnoT are the first known musicians from the State of Iowa for all history of its existence. Participants of group worked before in various musical collectives of the city of De-Moine. And, as usual in the small towns, all these groups gave the performances every Sunday on one scene by turns.
